Issue Resolved
On January 5th, we shared that Distress Centre's 24 hour crisis line number had been misprinted in the 2012 Telus White Pages and Yellow Pages. We are now very relieved and pleased to share that the incorrect number has been forwarded to our lines, so no further calls will be lost. Callers who find and dial our number from a search in the telephone directories will be met with the caring voice of one of our volunteers and not an inactive line.
Thank you to Telus for their prompt response, acting immediately upon learning of the issue and forwarding the line to us at no cost. Thank you also to the keen-eyed caller who alerted us to the problem. To verify, our correct 24 Hour crisis line number is 403-266-HELP (4357). We would ask everyone to adjust any information or printed materials you have on hand, or produce with the proper information.
